Why we’re looking forward to Northern Restaurant & Bar 2020

Restaurant

Northern Restaurant & Bar 2020 is happening on 17 & 18 March at Manchester Central. The event provides a fantastic opportunity for experts in the hospitality industry to connect and network.

New products will be on display, and industry leaders will discuss what future trends will be hitting the industry.

Charlie Jarvis, our Account Executive, will be heading to Manchester with the rest of our team. “NRB is great because it has something for all traders – ranging from large scale nightclubs to pop up restaurants. It’s a great chance to meet operators who want to see how NDML can benefit them.”

The NDML team will be visiting NRB for the full two days, exhibiting at the event as well as attending talks and industry discussions. Stop by stand number E57 to say hello! We’ll be taking our very special Spin The Wheel to the event, giving visitors chance to win an exclusive NDML goody bag or Amazon voucher. It’ll be a great way to engage delegates and a great conversation starter that will no doubt spark important discussions.

We’ll also be announcing what new insurance products are available to NRB delegates. As specialist insurance brokers, we’re always working on products that are relevant and useful to the night-time industry, so delegates will get the chance to chat to our team about the importance of getting the right comprehensive cover in place to protect their business. Miki Dawson, our Account Executive, says, “it’s always interesting to meet people and listen to what their industry is facing. This helps us to assess their demands and needs from an insurance perspective.”

Previous years have taught us how keen operators are to adapt and develop depending on key issues impacting the industry. It will be interesting to see once again how the industry is reacting to recent trends and developments such as the rise of workplace wellbeing and Brexit implications.

We know the hospitality industry is changing. Independent venues are becoming more and more relevant and important to the industry. There is a focus on delivering high quality produce and service, with customer experience almost always top of the industry’s agenda. The Experience Economy is taking over, and the hospitality industry is reacting by developing new and unique experiences their customers will never forget.

Steve Fleming, NDML’s Broking Director, says, “there’s a far higher focus on providing customers with a memorable event. Allowing venues to become the destination has meant that all manner of sites are now used for leisure and hospitality events !”

This year’s NRB event includes discussions on employee wellness, women working in hospitality, competitive leisure and much more.

So what are the team most looking forward to? Charlie says, “this year I want to learn about the new products hitting the industry… and I always look forward to the supplier samples that are given out!”

We’re excited to catch up with our clients and meet potential new ones! Will you be heading to the Northern Restaurant & Bar event this year? Follow us on LinkedIn, Twitter or Instagram to keep up to date with the team.
